If you are getting married soon, you'll want to look your best, after all, your wedding day is the most important day of your life. And that may mean that you need to lose 10-20 pounds before your wedding day. When it comes to weight loss, wedding nerves can help or hinder you. Make sure they work in your favour.
You know that you have allowed some bad habits to creep in and they have resulted in your gaining weight so that you are now a little heavier than you should be or would like to be. Depending on how long you've got until the big day, you can easily lose 10 or more pounds by sorting out a few of those bad habits.
* Cut out the sugary snacks a which you eat, often unconsciously and usually between meals. Sugar is full of calories and while it might give you a quick energy high, the effects wear off very quickly and you are left feeling hungry again.
* Eat five or six small meals during the day and make sure that you have a small piece of protein with each one. This will help you keep healthy and fit, as well as enabling you to burn the fat. And eating more often will burn up more calories through digesting the food.
* Drink water or fruit or herbal teas instead of sugar-based drinks. If you are in the habit of drinking a lot of these, this will drastically reduce your calorific intake. Try having a drink in between meals as this can also stave off any hunger pangs.
* Take some exercise every day or at least 5 times a week. You don't have to go to a gym or take up anything too strenuous, just get your body moving. Walking is one of the best forms or exercise available and it is completely free. So spend half an hour a day in your local park. This will also help you keep calm and give you a welcome break from the stresses of work or everyday life.
* Keep the freezer stocked with healthy food. If possible cook it yourself - that way you know exactly what is in there, which is good both for your weight and your general health. By shopping in bulk, you can keep the cupboards stocked with good quality, low calorie and low fat foods, which means you have no excuse for buying fattening takeaways.
These steps can be easily incorporated into your routine and the earlier you start, the sooner you'll reach your ideal wedding weight.
